Who Is This Course For?
Ultrasound is now identified as an essential skill and has been included curriculum at all levels. This course is meant for you if you are an Acute or Emergency Physician, whether you are a Resident doctor, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Medical Associate Professional or a Consultant.

Course Curriculum
This course will give you the skills to confidently integrate POCUS into your everyday Emergency/ Medical practice. Learn through hands-on scanning, image interpretation, case discussions, and evidence review. The course Covers:
- Basics: Ultrasound Physics, Knobology and Image Optimization
- Cardiac ECHO (This module is not in the FAMUS Syllabus but is taught in addition): Heart failure, wall motion abnormality, Pulmonary embolism and right heart strain, Aortic dissection
- Abdomen: Abdominal free fluid (ascites), Hydronephrosis, Bladder distension
- Thorax: Pneumonia, Pneumothorax, Pleural effusion
- Procedures : including US guided Vascular Access and Nerve blocks
- DVT
- Quiz : Case based images review
