This dynamic, hands-on training is designed to equip you with the skills needed to quickly and confidently assess and treat critically ill children using ultrasound at the bedside.

The course is taught with the help of didactic lectures on each topic with real-life examples. Practice sessions in small groups to give you plenty of hands-on training. Perform scanning on live paediatric models and Ultrasound simulators under expert-guidance. We structure every moment of the course to ensure you have a seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable experience, allowing you to fully concentrate on your educational journey.

Course Curriculum
This course will give you the skills to confidently integrate POCUS into your everyday Paediatric practice. Learn through hands-on scanning, image interpretation, case discussions, and evidence review. The course Covers:
  • Basics: Ultrasound Physics, Knobology and Image Optimization
  • Organs: Heart, Abdomen, Lungs
  • Procedures : US guided Vascular Access
  • Pathologies:
    Lungs : Pleural effusion, Pneumonia, Pneumothorax
    Heart:
    A- Pericardial Effusion, Cardiac Tamponade, Global cardiac Function, IVC and preload
    B- Congenital Heart diseases introduction and common conditions
    Abdomen: Free fluid in the abdomen, Bowel obstruction, Appendicitis, Intussusception and Pyloric Stenosis
  • Advanced Scanning Protocols : Trauma (e-FAST exam),Shock and Respiratory distress (Blue protocol)
  • Quiz : Emergency and Paediatric Critical Care case based images review
